INSTRUCTIONS FOR OBTAINING A FIREARMS IDENTIFICATION CARD AND/OR PISTOL PURCHASE PERMIT

To begin the process, you must complete the required forms, and purchase a money order or certified check.  Once you have done so, contact Det Brian Zeck at 561-7600 ext 26 to schedule an appointment to be fingerprinted.  The following is a list of fees necesary for processing your application:

Pistol Purchase Permit  $2.00 (Cash only)
Firearms Identification Card  $5.00 (Cash only)
State Fee - New Applicants ONLY  $60.25
State Fee - Change of Address OR Pistol Purchase Permits (with existing Firearms Identification Card)  $18.00

THE STATE FEES MAY ONLY BE PAID WITH A CERTIFIED CHECK OR MONEY ORDER MADE PAYABLE TO: DIVISION OF STATE POLICE S.B.I

Please note:  If you have ever had a felony conviction or domestic violence conviction, either as an adult or juvenile, you are automatically disqualified from consideration for a firearms identification card.

  • Keep your finger straight along the frame until you are on target and ready to fire

The Four Rules of Professional Firearms Etiquette

  • Don't accept OR hand a weapon to anyone unless the action is open
  • Don't lay a weapon anywhere unless the action is open
  • Don't let the muzzle of any weapon that you handle (or anyone else) cross anyone's body
  • Whenever you handle a weapon that has been out of your control, verify the condition of the weapon immediately

REMINDER TO MOTORISTS:  WHEN TRAVELING ON WET ROADS AND BAD WEATHER,  SLOW DOWN, GIVE YOURSELF EXTRA TIME TO ARRIVE AT YOUR LOCATION.  MAINTAIN EXTRA SPACE BETWEEN VEHICLES WHILE TRAVELING TO INCREASE REACTION TIME.  BE SAFE, BUCKLE UP AND STAY ALERT.

MOTORIST PLEASE BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR DEER.  THIS TIME OF YEAR THEY ARE ON THE MOVE AND OCCASIONALLY   WILL RUN OUT IN FRONT OF YOUR VEHICLE.  IF YOU STRIKE A DEER, DO NOT PANIC, STAY IN CONTROL OF YOUR VEHICLE, BRAKE AND SLOWLY PULL YOUR VEHICLE OVER TO A SAFE LOCATION. CALL THE POLICE. 


ARREST 8-19-08 Ptl Carricarte arrested Mr William Lloyd for outstanding warrants following a motor vehicle stop.

DWI ARREST 8-16-08  Det Zeck and Det Thompson arrested Mr William Russell for DWI.

ARREST 8-10-08  Ptl Creamer and Ptl Ohara arrested Mr Leonard Smith on on a outstanding warrant.  Officers made the arrest while checking on a suspicious vehicle ocupied by Smith.

ROBBERY  8-7-08  The Mullica Twp Police Dept is investigating a report of a robbery at Variety Farms .

ARREST  8-5-08  Ptl Carricarte arrested Mr John Wilks on several outstanding warrants.  Wilks was lodged in County jail in default of bail.

BURGLARY  8-2-08  A burglary report was taken from a Devonshire resident this week.

STABBING AT OAKCREST FARMS 7-7-08 The Mullica Twp Police dept is investigating a stabbing at a local Blueberry farm.  Oakcrest Farms in the Nesco section of Mullica Twp.  The Victim Mr Oscar Lopez, a farm labor worker at this farm was transported to Kessler Hospital for stab wounds. 

DWI ARREST  7-5-08 Sgt Thompson arrested Mr Robert Gallo of Greenbank for driving while intoxicated.

DWI ARREST  7-5-08 Sgt Gavin arrested Mr Leith Thompson Of Pennsauken for driving while intoxicated.
